HAMK Global is looking for a part-time Project Assistant for the time period of 1.8.2023 - 31.12.2024.
The task of the Project Assistant is to assist in an online teacher education project financed by the Inter-American Development Bank. The project is implemented in Moodle and by using other synchronous and asynchronous digital tools for learning. The project expert team consists of Finnish teacher education experts and international experts. The participating teachers are located in Jamaica, Guyana and Suriname. The Project Assistant guides learners in Moodle in technical matters (e.g. how to use Moodle, how to solve log-in problems, how to proceed from one section to another, etc.). In addition, the Project Assistant provides customer service in matters related to the project, keeps track of the learners' progress through the course, communicates the timetables of the programme to the relevant parties, edits materials, assists in the production of digital materials, assists in writing and editing reports, and works in a team with the Finnish and international experts. The project language is English. The Project Assistant may also work in other HAMK Global projects as needed.
- Higher education degree
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
- Experience in customer service and project work
- Experience in using Moodle
- Experience in using various digital tools, video editing tools, etc.
- Detail-oriented work-approach
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience in working in the context of teacher education
- Experience in using digital tools for learning
- Proficiency in Spanish, Romanian or Finnish languages.
The selection process includes an interview and a competence demonstration.
Part-time working hours will vary weekly. The estimated hours: 5-25 hours per week.
