As part of our NextWave strategy, Product Owners will be key to unlocking opportunities across Technology Consulting. We are looking to recruit high achieving individuals with these skills to be part of our growing business.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Around 5-8 years within a consulting firm, industry or government organisation in the local market working as a Product Owner.
  • Demonstrable experience working in an Agile scrum environment - continuously reviewing the business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risks across sprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks including the development of relationships with Industry Leaders and team members across all EY practices to serve client needs
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver key strategic programmes for our Consulting clients, ensuring service quality on one or more engagements at a time, leveraging your knowledge and sector experience to deliver Business and IT Transformations across organisations
  • Experience writing and prioritising detailed user stories.
  • Prioritise and make value creating decisions based on understanding business objectives and market conditions.
  • Ability to learn a domain quickly and apply the skills of a product owner to that domain.
  • A strong academic record including a third level degree, or equivalent, preferably in an IT related area.
  • Experience operating in a fast paced, multi-vendor environment.
  • Have a clear understanding of Scrum and the roles and responsibilities of each member of the team (PSPO is advantageous but not essential).


Who should apply?

  • Experienced product owners or experience in product management or product development.
  • Candidates with significant experience working in scrum teams and with product owners who are, or intend to qualify as, certified product owners
  • Candidates with the ability to envision and articulate business value of changes
  • Those who want to be part of the development team, where your responsibility is to guide what should be built and contribute to it
  • People with excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
  • Candidates with strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience driving the ideation, design and sustainment of digital products and services
  • Experience setting, prioritising, and accepting the work generated by your team in order to ensure the most valuable and proper functionality of the product is delivered
  • Experience collaborating with partners and customers to co-develop a roadmap, driving products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience translating product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories and acceptance test criteria
  • Experience prioritising and maintaining the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders
  • Experience leading the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology
