Claims Manager

The Claims Manager oversees the day to day operations for all claims related activities for Dimont & Associates and Administrative Claims staff handling client files. This includes mon! itoring file activity, time lines, resolution rates, employee
development, technical training and procedures. Must be able to quickly learn Dimont’s proprietary claims system and associated data elements in order to identify process improvements and ensure data integrity. Uses Dimont’s claims system to generate and analyze reports as well as confirm activity on assigned files. The Claims Manager will be instrumental in driving claims recoveries, responsible for goal achievement, incentive plan support and overall production of the Claims Associates.
Responsibilities:
Provides direction and leadership to Claims Associates as well as Claims admins
Provides technical claims management expertise to all employees
Manages day to day operations including scheduling of resources, monitoring of performance, workflow, and budget
Develops goals, objectives and measurements for area of responsibility. Performance management of employees based on ! results
Manages activities to maximize revenue through:! reviews of Associate portfolios, overturn, and improvement of claims submitted.
Identifies carrier efficiencies.
Assists in planning staffing growth and participates in personnel acquisition, performance management, and employee retention.
Makes sure Dimont adheres to client service levels.
Develops strong working relationship with each carrier and schedules regular calls and visits.
Develops and delivers training programs based on (i.e. review of damages; documentation; coverage; effective claims processing; and negotiating.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned by Dimont & Associates.
Ability to travel up to 50 %
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred. This position requires incumbent to pass the PA License Test within 60 days of employment and to maintain an active PA License for the duration of employment .
Experience: 5+ years of progressive people! /performance management experience. 8+ years of experience working with mortgage servicing and defaults. Homeowners and hazard claims experience a plus.
Skills: Management of employees at various sites; Superb organizational skills; Analytical skills; Knowledge of claims filing process: Knowledge of mortgage servicing and defaults. Ability to learn quickly.
