As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a part of small but growing team of talented people responsible for implementing a complex enterprise banking software solution in a fast-paced r! esults oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in software consulting with experience working directly with clients as well as internal project managers and development resources. The environment is .NET with a SQL backend and each project contains integration with third party vendors including proprietary credit union and bank host systems. Relationship building is an important aspect of the position, where the individual will focus on securing strong professional relationships with clients in anticipation of additional customizations and product sales in the future.
- Install, configure, customize and troubleshoot all technical issues related to the internet banking solution within both on-premise and hosted environments
- Work directly with third party vendors to define technical requirements and implement solutions to interface with various external systems
- Hands on development and resolution of all technical issues wi! thin an on premise and hosted client environment
- Work! with senior management to finalize technical processes and procedures within department focusing on client satisfaction and efficiency
- Manage the workload of technical resources within the team based on timelines established by Project and Senior Managers
- Communicating status, issues and risks to project stakeholders
- Maintaining and creating technical project documentation and client worksheets
- Work closely with Product Development and Professional Services developers to resolve complex technical issues related to current projects
- Interviewing new technical job candidates
- Train clients on ORCC SDKs â€" onsite and local
- Lead internal technical development training sessions
- Provide labor estimates for custom projects initiated through Project and Senior
- Perform other duties as assigned Work Location: USA - Pleasanton, CA No. of Positions 1 Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Comput! er Science, MIS, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 2 - 5 years of software development experience preferably in the financial services industry demonstrating increasing responsibility
- Strong conceptual understanding of web applications
- Requirements gathering/analysis
- Experience working directly with customers
- Experience writing object-oriented code with a web programming language (ASP.NET, Java, PHP, Python)
- Knowledge of .NET, C#, ASP .NET, SQL Server, IIS, web development
- Strong knowledge of networks including VPN’s, VM servers, load-balancing and terminal services is required.
- Ability to perform successfully in a high-pressure, fast-pace working environment.
- Willing to work with employees overseas at least one evening per week
- Strong communications skills. This position requires extensive interaction on the phone and by e-mail with our clients, third-party vend! ors, and other employees. Highly Desired Qualifications • Proficiency! with software development tools like the following: Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Visual Source Safe, Araxis Merge (or another text file comparison tool), Microsoft SQL Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer.
- Experience delivering high volume, mission critical web sites such as Online Banking
- Previous experience conducting training sessions in varied formats
- Familiar with Credit Union host data systems such as Symitar and Summit
- Previous work experience with the banking and financial industry as it relates to Internet home banking applications is a plus Position Category Regular F/T
