Cerner is searching for a Patient Financial Services Manager to manage patient collections at the Central Valley Region of Adventist Health hospitals: Adventist Medical Center - Hanford, Central Va! lley General Hospital, Adventist Medical Center - Reedley and Adventist Medical Center - Selma.
Cerner's RevWorks organization focuses on transforming the healthcare revenue cycle by increasing efficiencies, decreasing errors and improving the financial management process. RevWorks is a growing and dynamic business model with business services including patient access, HIM/coding and patient financial services plus a portfolio of management, consulting and implementation services combined with solid solution offerings. Providing expertise in Revenue Cycle operations and management, the RevWorks organization targets improved financial outcomes for clients.
Adventist Health recently announced it will transition responsibility for its revenue management services to Cerner. This strategic alignment between Cerner and Adventist Health expands on the 2012 selection of Cerner to provide an integrated revenue cycle platform across Adventist Health’s acute, ambul! atory and post-acute venues. The new agreement covers the tran! sition of Adventist Health’s revenue management services to Cerner to improve end-to-end revenue management across the entire Adventist Health organization.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, health or public administration, management or a related field.
Five years of Management experience in the healthcare receivables field.
Working knowledge in the areas of patient registration/access management, billing, accounts receivable (AR), cash management, managed care contracting, health insurance practices, industry regulatory requirements, business office operations, AR and financial reporting, technology, wage and hour regulations, basic accounting, and industry standards for healthcare revenue and resolution management practices.
Ability to be located in, near or relocate to the Hanford, California area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters in hospital ! or business administration, accounting, finance or related field.
