About the Position: The Executive Director provides leadership and direction and exercises overall responsibility for the programming, operations, and financial performance of the Valley Performing Arts Center. The Executive Director reports to the Provost and Vice President fo! r Academic Affairs and works closely with senior leadership of! the campus and advisory boards and committees to ensure exemplary administration and operation of the Valley Performing Arts Center in alignment with the mission of the University. The Executive Director is responsible for fundraising for the Center and developing community initiatives that position the Center to provide both facilities and programs that enhance and strengthen the cultural life of the San Fernando Valley.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Master's degree in a job-related field required. Six years of progressively responsible experience in operating and managing a successful performing arts center, preferably in an academic setting; with three of the six years in a managerial role.
