. We are currently seeking an
Environmental Planner/CEQA Analyst
in to join our team in
Los Angeles, CA
. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge of environmental planning to assignments focusing on the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) document compliance, supporting technical studies and permitting. This is a research and writing-intensive role that will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to advance quickly.
Typical duties and responsibilities of ! this position are:
- Applies standard planning ! techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified planning tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
- Works closely with Project Managers to research, write, revise, and edit text for CEQA reports and planning documents.
- Prepares application forms and public notices, reviews, analyzes and critiques technical reports, attends meetings, and coordinates with public agencies, clients, and project teams.
The appropriately qualified candidate will have the following core competencies and required experience:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning, or Environmental Studies, or other related field is required..
- Our ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with CEQA and NEPA as well as land planning/entitlement is required.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communications skil! ls are essential.
- A proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.
