The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for the preparation of annual and long-term financial plans, ! forecasts, and budgets. This individual will also develop policies and procedures to monitor and analyze division performance to plan as well as prepare financial reporting to update and communicate results and to provide timely and relevant financial data to support decision making.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial planning process which includes the annual budget, forecasting, and business plan development.
- Facilitate the budget process which includes setting timelines, ensuring all budgets are accurate, comprehensive and completed on time.
- Develop financial models that provide financial analysis and decision support to senior leadership on key business components. Advise business leadership of opportunities and risks impacting business performance. Propose potential solutions to complex problems.
- Perform business valuations consistent with AICPA standards for valuations and IRS Revenue Rulings.
- Develop and manage the preparation of financial reporting and dashboards.
- Lead the preparation of financial analysis, commentary and presentation materials for executive review.
- Review, analyze and compare monthly and quarterly operating department financial results and key performance indicators against plan and other internal benchmarks, including working capital and cash flow analysis.
- Support mergers & acquisitions analysis and financial recommendations for new business development opportunities.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and foreign government reporting requirements.
- Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualified applicants will posess a minimu! m of ten (10) years of related Manager or Director level experience in Finance for a medium to large company; Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline is required; MBA and/or CPA designation is a plus.
The ideal candidate must also posess the ability to lead with integrity, honesty and trust, and to deliver reliable, unique and leading edge solutions that exceed expectations. This person should also have demonstrated success leading and sustaining change through improvement initiatives using process improvement methodologies; posess the ability to review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities; and posess the ability to create and use sophisticated financial modeling.
The selected candidate will also have exposure to a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows like interface, be proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access; and po! sess the ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems. Additional! qualifications include flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments and the ability to maintain confidentiality and multi-task.
