The Departmental Training Branch (DTB) is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic team player that welcomes a challenge. Under the direction of a Training Officer II, the incumbent will deliver general and technical training courses; specifically, Basic Business Writing, Career Planning, Customer Service Excellence, and Driver License courses. Candidate should possess strong oral presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral) along with knowledge of the personal computer. This is a 24-month training and development (T & D) assignment. Upon passing the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) transfer exam and successful development, the T & D assignment may be made permanent. Desirable skills include: ability to work with all levels of technical staff and management; ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects; c! urriculum development; and knowledge of complex computer syste! m software. Extensive travel will be required. Position is located in The City of Orange. Employees within the Motor Vehicle Field Representative - Range C; Licensing-Registration Examiner; Control Cashier; Manager I, II, and III are encouraged to apply. Salary posted is the actual base pay of classification. Actual base pay will be reduced pursuant to the Personal Leave Program (PLP). Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance required before hire. Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full time appointment. Salaries for part-time and/or intermittent appointments may vary. “This position(s) may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resource Branch.” A training and development assignment will not be considered. “SROA/Surplus candidates are encouraged to apply.”Non-SSA candidates who are eligible to transfer to the SSA classification must pass the SSA transfer exam or have eligibility on the prior SSA written exam prior to appointment.
