Responsibilities
As a Security Architect, you will be a key member of the Cloud Security team developing frameworks that make it easier to defend the environment at ServiceNow.
Your job is to make our platform secure while increasing the productivity and adherenc! e to OWASP. You will lead the platform security team through t! hreat analysis, remediation and mitigation of the platform, applications, and network. You will propose security architectural and design changes based off threat analysis and drive new features to rollout.
You will help architect frameworks and services that would provide common functionality like authentication, authorization, auditing, and encryption. We use software based tools and external services to find security issues and drive them to remediation. You will help analyze those results, identify the issues, and develop structural/design changes if necessary to solidify the security posture of ServiceNow.
You will help design and rollout a training program for developers, application security analysts and Quality Assurance Engineers to drive adherence to OWASP and secure coding practices. You will oversea and plan to integrate continuous security testing into the SDLC and ensure every team uses a standardized process.
You will work with cross-function! al teams and customers alike to identify security vulnerabilities and enhance the security posture of ServiceNow. Security, extensibility, and scalability is your mantra.
We are looking for someone that can find the hidden features in an application and identify the roadmap to exploit them and drive remediation - thinking from the attacker’s point of view.
This is not an administrative position, but rather a lead technologist driving change.
Required Skills
- Must be known expert in the Security Industry
- Must be published
- Must have strong industry references
- Minimum 15 years of security, development and SDLC experience
- Very strong hands-on architectural, design, and coding capabilities in Java
- Expert knowledge and experience applying OWASP to the SDLC
- Subject Matter Expertise in Application Hacking techniques
- Expert knowledge of threat analysis and time-to-event correlation and! the ability to evangelize to development teams
- Expert knowled! ge in authentication protocols and cryptography
- Expert knowledge in internet security protocols and technologies
- Excellent understanding of security issues like XSS and CSRF, and related design patterns
- Strong knowledge and expertise in data structures and algorithms
- Large scale web software development experience
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, MySQL preferred
- Ability to write technical and non-technical security documents for a variety of audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills
