Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of HES Specialist â" Projects located in Bakersfield, CA through March 30, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Position Details:
Overview:
This position supports the San Joaquin Valley Business Unit's (SJVBU's) automation of greenhouse gas data and reporting. This project is part of a larger health, environment, and safety (HES) organization focused on equipment modifications necessary to ensure compliance with emerging regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Regulatory advocacy and interpretation, determining applicability of greenhouse gas rules (Federal, State, L! ocal) and developing appropriate reporting and tracking measur! es.
Analysis of potential alternatives and methodologies to ensure compliance, recommending the preferred alternative, and documenting the analysis and decision making process to management, using project management principles.
Development and implementation of necessary communications to the SJVBU.
Development and deployment of necessary training.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related technical discipline.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross functional (operations, management, engineering, HES, IT) teams.
Demonstrated ability to plan, share, document, interpret, and communicate complex regulatory concepts in order to develop actionable items.
Proven excellent written, facilitation and oral communication skills.
Proven ability to clearly convey concepts and project information with all levels of the organization.
Pr! oven ability to design and execute general training and informational sessions.
Proven ability to apply project management principals, including appropriate analyses and documentation.
Demonstrated understanding of databases, applications and interfaces;
