Description: Roche is currently seeking to employ Quality Change Control â€" Genentech, Inc. Vacaville Operations Plant right now, this vacancy will be placed in California. The Vacaville
production facility makes pharmaceutical proteins from mammalian cells using large-scale production
techniques. However, the QC Raw Materials laboratory at the Vacaville site supports testing of Raw
Materials to be used not only in Vacaville but at three other Genentech production sites in the United
States.
The primary responsibilities/activities of this position may include, but not limited to:

• Assist in an evaluation of all existing lab systems for possible efficiency gains or compliance

improvements

• Support the development of process maps for these lab systems
• Identify creative options for improvements to these systems and develop implementation/action plans
• Under the guidance of the project lead, implement the changes as needed Who you are

To be eligible for this internship, students must be in or have completed their sophomore year at an
accredited college or university and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students must possess good problem
solving skills, be action oriented, have solid interpersonal and communication, and be able to work well
within a team environment. Additionally, the student must be a self starter with a strong focus on quality,
details, and results and have solid organizational skills. Finally, experience working in a lab setting and
proficiency with Word and Excel are strongly preferred.
