Data Technician

Location: San Carlos California

Description: Nelson Staffing is in need of Data Technician right now, this position will be placed in California. More complete informations about this position opportunity kindly read the description below. Nelson Staffing is currently seeking a Data Technician for our client located in San Carlos, CA. This is a temporary opportunity.

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Creates, compiles, updates, analyzes, and distributes reports regarding performance trends, revenue, and expenses
• Maintains various department files (hardcopy, digital, and database), records, and project specific documents. Maintains division and Chief/Executive files in an orderly and timely fashion
• Develops and updates department specific documents such as project lists and invoice tracking sheets, etc.
• Utilizes advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Gathers and inputs data, creates and updates spreadsheets, reports, tables, graphs, agendas, and presentations in a timely, efficient, and accurate fashion
• Manages, assembles, reviews, and stores data and performs basic analysis
• Transcribes electronic, recorded and/or handwritten notes, or originates signature-ready copy
• Proofs and corrects format, grammar, punctuation and spelling as needed
• Gathers ! all invoices, reviews them for accuracy, and creates check req! uests for payment
• Prepares purchase requisitions for signature ready copy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Sufficient education, training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Development of the required knowledge and abilities is typically obtained through but not limited to: four years of clerical experience performing duties and with responsibilities similar to those listed above, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Must have a basic understanding of accounting and be able to perform a variety of functions in word-processing (Microsoft Word). Also requires a thorough understanding of document control and spreadsheet applications (Excel). Must have excellent oral and written communication skills able to handle multiple work assig! nments, determine work priorities, and handle sensitive documents with discretion.
