Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Drive 5% year-over-year cost savings for > $20MM of spend on freight and warehousing Lead warehouse supervisors and staff to optimize material flow through the warehouses and shop floor. Drive improvements and compliance to kanban replenishment system. Develop and implement safety stock and lot sizing models to minimize inventory while maximizing customer service levels. Develop and implement processes to minimize excess and obsolete inventory. Drive focus on customer service with internal partners in Production, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, and Transportation. Drive the development and continuous improvement of interdepartmental and intradepartmental Materials processes. Act as the intermediary between CareFusion & Suppliers to set capacity levels and determine service performance. Develop and execute 90 Day tactical and 3 Year strategic plans. Develop and manage the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process. Perform staff decision-making, training and coaching, and ensure all members within the team are well trained in procedures and/or instructions Set and manage annual budget Develop and manage critical performance goals (cost savings, inventory, inventory accuracy, turns, on-time delivery, cycle time reduction, schedule accuracy / stability) for the Materials Process and translates the goals into performance expectations for materials employees. Maintain consistent leadership for materials personnel, including performance management and team bench strength development. Evaluate personnel based on established objectives and hold people accountable to performance objectives. Champion and coordinate SAP use and improvements, as well as cross functional impact of processes related to ERP planning/Material management transactions. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related field from four-year college or university. MS or MBA preferred. Graduates from top 20 schools strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years of increasingly complex professional experience in materials management or related field. Extensive experience in price and contracts negotiation, particularly with logistics providers. In depth knowledge of current best practices in supply chain management, including statistical, multi-echelon inventory models and pull systems. Experience managing relationships with a global supply base. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Six Sigma and lean manufacturing (certification preferred). Understanding of statistical process control techniques and data collection systems. Three years or more of management experience preferred.

Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as calculus, probability and statistics as they relate to the management of capacity, inventories and other supply chain problems.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, analyze data and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables..
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be skilled in the use of Outlook and e-mail; MS Word, and Excel; MS Access and SAP. Familiarity with Business Objects and Sharepoint is preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
APICS, ISM and/or Six Sigma Certification preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages 8 direct reports.
