The Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) will report to the Vaccines Medical Director.
Why Patients Need You
- Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) Vaccines will join Vaccines Medical Team and will be responsible for the assigned vaccine(s) for Italy.
- MAS Vaccines identifies unmet medical needs and healthcare disparities in the vaccines area through medical activities such as advisory board meetings and interactions with HCPs and other relevant individuals and organizations
- The MAS Vaccines will play a central role as a scientific leader though identifying unmet medical needs, building medical plan and establishing evidence.
- The MAS Vaccines will provide medical affair leadership to the clinical development and registration process of pipeline compounds in the relevant TA, and to the post-approval in country Lyfe Cycle Management

Primary Responsibilities
- Maintaining the highest scientific standards during in/external activities to provide deep medical and scientific expertise.
- Develop and Execute the Medical Plan aligned with the medical strategy to meet unmet medical needs in the vaccines area

Play a central role as a scientific leader though:
- Drive data generation strategy based on medical strategies and data gap analysis
- Identifying unmet medical needs and developing and executing medical plan
- Developing and executing a customer facing medical plan to establish and maintain scientific peer level professional relationships with stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise and high-quality scientific exchange, bringing insights into the organization to help shape strategy
- Establish a strong collaborative scientific relationship with relevant stakeholders in the assigned area (KOLs, medical societies, and other relevant internal/external stakeholders).
- Aligns, contributes, and collaborates with Relevant internal stakeholders
- Observe the code of conduct, company’s regulations, and compliance, appropriate communication with related departments
- Ensure awareness of responsibility for reporting adverse events
What You Offer
Basic qualifications
- MD or PhD in Life Science, Microbiology or Infectious disease is preferred, other scientific background will be also considered.
- Capable of medical discussion with relevant departments and external HCPs.
- A person who understands compliance and relevant laws/regulations in the pharmaceutical industry and advocates the appropriate use of the products.
- Appropriate knowledge and understanding of internal organization structure, key stakeholders and strategies can be a plus
- A person who is able to quickly acquire necessary medical/scientific knowledge and skills though self-learning
- Able to understand written and spoken English in assigned therapeutic disease area, and scientific interactions
Preferred qualifications
- Training and/or experience in Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Hygien and Public Health or Biotechnology
- Experience in the relevant area: vaccines, public health preferred
- Research experience preferred
- Scientific publication experience preferred
- Medical/pharmaceutical expert knowledge of therapeutic disease area/ products
- Functional English plus local language
