Technical Marketer [South Africa]

 

Our client in the Agriculture industry is looking for an experienced Technical Marketer in Potchefstroom and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sales and marketing plans for seed products in the Potchefstroom and surrounding areas
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Generate leads and qualify prospects
• Close sales and negotiate contracts
• Track and report on sales performance
• Prepare weekly reports on activities and sales
• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Assist with the planning and execution of trials of new and existing seed products
• Collect data and report on the results of trials
• Provide technical advice to farmers on the use of seed products

Additional Duties:

• Maintain a safe work environment by complying with health and safety regulations and guidelines
• Report any hazards identified and actions taken
• Perform any other reasonable task as requested

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification/experience in seed sales
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with customers
• Good administrative skills/computer literacy
• Valid driver's license and willing to travel
• Must be punctual, responsible, and self-motivated
• Willingness to travel and work weekends/overtime during peak hours
