As Category Manager, your responsibility is to manage the Tech supply base and support the Head of Category. This will include Category Management and delivery of initiatives that drive TCO resulting in annual savings/revenue of multi millions annually.
You’ll be involved with Strategy development, you’ll gain and provide expert knowledge of the supply markets and through this bring insight and introduce new/innovative approaches or ways of working to optimize the delivery of the category.
You’ll identify and prioritise sourcing and SRM projects within the category across different spend areas to be incorporated in the annual procurement plan. You’ll also drive initiatives to deliver significant cost reductions or incremental revenue and ensure strategies are implemented and TCO reductions secured according to implementation plans and agreed with business stakeholders
You’ll be sourcing and will lead and implement all sourcing activities and all renewals (RFI, RFP, Negotiation, Auctions, Benchmarking) you’ll also actively manage our key “partner suppliers” that will drive continued in contract innovation, service and cost reduction
Other duties include:
- Maintain contractual and business relations and drive negotiations with all assigned suppliers, as well as monitor supplier satisfaction;
- Structure contracts working with SRMs to input key SLAs, Service Credits and working with supplier and internal William Hill legal to ensure robust contracting is done;
- Assess regular performance of key suppliers driving the improvement of performance;
- Work closely with key stakeholders in business functions to define effective sourcing strategies and category; implementation plans. Build excellent stakeholder relationships.
We’re looking for someone with excellent knowledge of key contractual clauses and experience in best-in-class sourcing and category management with clear and demonstrable achievements in Procurement in varied industry sectors.
You’ll also have excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence at senior levels. You will be an expert in day to day resolution of contractual issues and full category plan delivery and sign off, achieving high customer satisfaction scores.
You may also have a Bachelor's degree and CIPS (MCIPS) membership, but this isn’t essential.
