Project Description
You'll be supporting applications in Finance area. Your role is to ensure the stability of the systems we support. We respond to requests from traders, operations, business management as well as ensuring our daily processing cycles complete accurately and on time. We help by resolving incidents before they have a material impact and by implementing change according to plans that minimize the risk of disruption.
Responsibilities
- Provide production support and batch monitoring
- Uphold high standards for timely issue resolution
- Interface with the business and IT stakeholders to understand production issues and determine support solutions
- Define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements
- Contribute expertise to release and deployment planning and implementation
- Work in rotating shifts (APAC/EMEA) and support over weekends as per project requirement
- Lead action items for Outages / Major incident reviews / IPM / BCM / Release mgmt. / Audit / Transition / Stake Holder meetings / Automation / Tooling and Risk & Control activities

Skills
Must have
- At least 3-4 years' experience in a production support role for business applications, facing off to Senior Business & IT Stakeholders
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix
- Experience working in scheduling tools like Autosys
- Experience with ITIL processes for Incident, Request, Problem Management, Change and Release activities as well as Knowledge Management
- Supported both packaged and custom solutions
- A natural ability to solve complex issues
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills (you know how to figure stuff out)
- Very good communication skills, collaboration skills, good team player and ability to multitask
Nice to have
- Investment bank domain experience
- Scripting skills (PowerShell/Python) would be beneficial
- Experience in Automation tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Automation Anywhere, IP Center) is plus and inclination towards learning automation tools
- Experience in onboarding and supporting Azur Cloud based applications is plus
