Rancho Sierra Golf Course is a 9 hole golf course and driving range outside Lancaster, CA. As a small privately owned business, we have primarily long term employees who care passionately about the course and our customers. We cater to seniors, ladies, juniors and beginning golfers.
You will be responsible for driving a 2,000-gallon water truck to/from designated water supplies, filling the truck, and irrigating specific locations on the golf course.
The successful candidate must be responsible, a self-starter, must have a valid CA driving license and a good driving record, can drive a manual transmission, and must be able to handle the physical demands of the position, specifically:
- Regular exposure to the outside environment in the Antelope Valley including sun, wind, and high temperatures,
- Repetitive movements including twisting, turning, pulling, climbing, sitting, bending, kneeling, walking and so on, and
- Regular lifting up to 40 pounds.
While not a requirement, it is helpful if you are familiar with golf so you are aware of hazard/delicate areas on a golf course and treat said areas appropriately. Knowing golfer tendencies on a course is also valuable.
As a member of our crew who share the watering and truck driving duties, the days and hours of this position are flexible.
We recommend that you apply in person at the golf course between 6am - 4pm. This allows you to get a better sense of the work environment and helps us expedite the hiring process.
You will also be required to undergo a background check before starting employment.
