Job description:
Our Global Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, negotiating and bu! ying a variety of materials for the designs of the Product Dev! elopment Group
The Sourcing Specialist will source quality manufacturers, negotiation of price, terms and conditions as well as developing the procurement process, to include all sourcing , and purchasing elements.
Work with Product Development to determine development projects as they pertain to Low Cost Country sourcing, procurement and purchasing functions.
The Global Sourcing Specialist will be instrumental in conveying supplier expectations, price negotiation for products sourced, terms and conditions, RFQ's for new products purchased, product purchased in lots (quantities and purchasing schedules)
Working cross functionally with internal stakeholders and VP's to implement supply based management and inventory plans, product and quantity purchasing expectations, affectively managing supplier expectations
Negotiate and expedite problem resolution concerning sourced product quality rejections, purchasing shortages, overages on! product purchased
Develop and implement short range sourcing plans to support products or concepts currently in development process. Develop proposals for awarding contracts on specific suppliers weighing quality, service and cost.
Provide information on manufacturing process, suppliers sourced from, material capabilities and sourcing capabilities
Perform factory audits and supplier review meetings as required to support the certification process, best practices as it pertains to the purchasing, strategic sourcing and buying activities of the organization.
Who we are looking for :
ASIAN Sourcing experience required
Fluency in Chinese: ( Ability to speak and read Mandarin Chinese is required)
BA Degree
Experience in wholesale, retail buying, or home decorating consumer products
Proficiency on Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point.
Travel up to 25%
