Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for owning project initiation, planning, issue resolution, executive level status updates, and executive level escalations.
Leads and monitors team activities and deliverables, measuring project compliance to the Data and Online Services Software Development Life Cycle, SDLC.
Responsible for quality of development; initiating process improvement projects when needed.
Manages vendors and consultants effectively, managing timeline, resources, scope, and budget.
Leads strategy for team training, development, and infrastructure support, guaranteeing team has knowledge and tools necessary to build quality enterprise data applications.
Leads a team of DOS Technical Managers, DOS Technical Supervisors, Data Architects, and development staff; ensures adherence to technical sta! ndards and oversees the adoption of Data and Online Services S! oftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Oversees and directs communication between technical staff, other managers, and team members, both inside and outside of Information Services (IS). Acts as liaison to the customer, requiring a thorough understanding of business functions and processes within the organization; facilitates meetings with customers to translate discussions into business and functional requirements.
Manage customer requirements for business process reengineering, process designs, and workflow to guarantee successful adoption of enterprise solutions.

Requirements:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, IT or related field REQUIRED.
MS desired but not required.
Minimum 8-years hands-on experience in data warehousing and BI with at least 5 years of BI architecture; 3-years experience serving in a management level position.
Experience leading and managing full life cycle development process, whi! ch includes analysis, design, construction, and testing
ALL candidates must have demonstrated experience managing direct report staff; department budget and project management.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence fundamentals; technology experience must include Oracle, SQL Server, ETL, Crystal Reports, MS Access, MS office, Cognos BI and Informatica.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, organization and attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences;
Must have sound understanding of business fundamentals in order to interact with business users and understand requirements;
Must have sound understanding of modeling fundamentals in order to work closely with Data Architects and Data Modelers to ensure the model design effectively leverages the Business Objects reporting platform.
