The Architectural Discipline Specialist will coordinate, organize and lead project teams for multiple projects. Responsibilities include involvement from schematic design t! hrough construction on projects, reviewing shop drawings and related submittals, coordinating consultants in all phases and directing the production of the projects.
Training and Experience
The ideal candidate will:
o Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering required with a minimum of 6 years work experience
o Must have experience in Revit, 3D CADD
o Have a strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills
o Be flexible in assignments and team leadership
o Excellent team leadership skills
o Strong organizational and planning skills
Other Essential Functions
Responsible for conducting architectural studies, developing design concepts and design criteria, and preparing reports, calculations, and detailed design and construction drawings.
- Conducts preliminary field surveys, develops designs and drafts preliminary plans for buildings and facilities
- P! repares maps, sketches, working drawings and construction plan! s, prepares cost estimates, specification and bid proposals for contracts
- Participates in the presentation of plans to governing and permitting authorities for land use, zoning and permit approvals
- Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses
- Inspect and supervise the inspection of construction projects while in progress and upon completion for adherence to plans and specifications; advise contractors on the interpretation of the plans and specifications
- Prepare material, write construction specifications and prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials
- All other duties and projects as assigned
