We are seeking an experienced manager who is highly motivated and committed to developing an internal wholesale team to grow our assets under management. As the Area Sales Manager, you w! ill lead a team of 5 internal wholesalers and 2 divisional support associates devoted to supporting our Canadian territories.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing and monitoring territory team business plans and developing strategies for successful plan execution; including ensuring sales leads and proposals produce tangible sales results and activity.
Assessing performance, coaching and developing team members; ensuring the level of service meets quality and accuracy standards, and is delivered effectively and efficiently.
Serving as a conduit for external sales force members for resolution of service issues and technical questions.
Interviewing, hiring, and training new team members.
Recommending and participating in the implementation of process changes or initiatives.

Hiring Criteria
The ideal Team Manager:
Has previous experience as an internal wholesaler (or comparable) with the ability to execute all elements of the sales process.
Has previous leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead others. Minimum 2 years management experience and a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Manages the performance and continual development of each team member; creates an environment for two-way dialogue, encouraging open communication, proactively soliciting feedback and differing viewpoints from others.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate and collaborate with those internal and external, across various levels; possesses exceptional listening, probing, time-management, and organizational skills.
Cultivates a deep understanding of all aspects of our business, customer requirements and service expectations.
Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality, both in their o! wn performance and that of their team, which involves attention to detail, thoughtful analysis and problem-solving, and accountability for excellent results.
