Job Summary :
The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities for the Group and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth. This position works closely with the brand sales teams to identify new business opportunities, create compelling sales pitches and develop innovative proposals tailored to client objectives.

Responsibilities :
Responsible for direct advertising sales to clients in the power and petroleum markets
Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Provide timel! y, accurate, competitive pricing to prospective clients, while! striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
Accurate sales and inventory information updated and reported on a weekly basis

Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
Define media packages and price points with input from Publishers & Product Management
Plan events that build awareness and relationships with clients and prospects
Attend/participant in regional, national and international industry trade shows.
Identify new business opportunities and effectively leverage PennWell resources to meet or exceed customer expectations; Prepare action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects and works with management to develop action plans to penetrate new markets.
Meet with Advertising Sales Representatives on a scheduled basis to build effective communications, understand training needs, and provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance.
Provide timely feedback to senior m! anagement regarding performance.
Assist Advertising Sales Representatives in preparation of client consultations.
Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Essential Qualifications :
1-2 years’ experience in Sales management.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
Proven leadership and ability to drive sales performance
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
4-6 years of sales experience
Bachelor’s Degree
2-5 years of B2B online and print marketing experience
Well-versed in online media and current industry trends
Enthusiastic team player, willing to actively help team achieve goals

Non-Essential Qualifications :

  • Pre! vious experience in sales related to medical, law, or public safety
