Digital and analog/IO circuit designer role is expansive, you will be in the lab testing and validating your design, review and commenting on other designs, suggesting experiments, bringing forwa! rd new ideas.
You will be designing high speed digita! l, IO and analog circuits, developing state-of-the-art high-speed interfaces PCIe, SATA, USB, GDDR/DDR, HT
This role is actively engaged with other circuit and layout designers. These are the best of the best and you will presenting design reviews of work completed for peer review.
You skill and experience with schematic entry and spice simulation tools such as Cadence, Spectre, and/or Hspice will be heavily used.
You will take the circuit design into the lab doing measurements to compare with simulations and design specifications.
If you do not have the following skills you will acquire then over time
- Designed SERDES PHY components, PLLs, DLLs,
- Familiar with Tx and Rx equalization
- Familiar with clock and data recovery circuits
- High speed digital circuit design
- Familiar with CAD tools/flows for circuit analysis (eg, IR drop, E! M, ERC checker)
- Verilog coding and verification
- Scripting languages like Perl and Python
