Job Description:
Business Analyst with Clinical Trials and Metadata Rave !
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Trial Business Analyst II (CTBA) role involves the ability to analyze and translate business requirements to meet specific project/process needs. The CTBA examines the existing business model (processes and objectives) and works with various levels of users in the company to assist in the creation/modification of the business requirements/processes for clinical data management systems that will provide a solution for the needs of moderate to complex clinical/business problems. The CTBA performs the research necessary to create functional documents which will ensure that clinical/business application systems can be effectively developed and implemented to meet organizational needs.
- Work with teams to identify problematic areas and conduct research to determine the best course of action to correct/improve the issues/process
- Analyze and problem solve issues with current and planned systems/processes ! as they relate to the integration and management of patient da! ta
- Monitor for timely and accurate completion of select assigned tasks
- Develop well written Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and Work Instruction documents
- Attend appropriate project team meetings as a representative of the Data Management department
- In collaboration with others, interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings
- Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results
- Perform basic statistical analyses for projects and reports
- Create and present quality dashboards
- Generate routine and ad hoc reports
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Systems required or equivalent related work experience.
- Three to five year’s related experience in clinical trials along with strong project management experience and/or operational background.
- Experience translating Clinical Trial protocols into database requi! rements
- Tibco SpotFire knowledge is preferred
- Experience translating Clinical Trial protocols into database requirements
- Experience in building study (studies) in EDC using Medidata RAVE or Oracle Inform.
- Medidata Rave experience is preferred, not required.
- Experience with process redesign methods and tools.
- Ability to independently lead process improvement projects.
- Ability to easily adapt to rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work well independently and on a team.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills and be able to develop a positive working relationship with assigned stakeholder.
- Ability to present information effectively
- Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
