Responsible for providing advanced customer service support to brokers selling WellPoint products via telephone or written communication. Essential duties to include, but are not limited to: Assists agents and brokers via telephone or written communication. Works on special projects for brokers, group administrators, broker representatives, or other MBUs and creates new reports to meet client needs. Assists mangers with broker and client meetings. Responds to inquiries involving commissions, legislation, product information and policies and procedures for Individual, Small Group, Dental and Life. Will be expected to average a certain number of phone calls p! er representative per week, average pieces of correspondence t! o be processed per day. Coordinates mailings and fulfillment requests. May assist in broker road shows. Provides reports to brokers. Performs simple Enrollment and Billing maintenance transactions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma and five years of related customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Previous health insurance industry experience preferred. Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required. Advanced organizational, problem solving and PC skills required. Advanced benefits, claims processing or membership knowledge preferred.
Candidate must possess extensive Small Group knowledge including Underwriting, Enrollment & Billing, Products and Procedures.
Incumbents must have experience with the following: MS Office (2 yrs), MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel (1 year) for this position.
This position requi! res an active resident insurance license. If you do not already have an active resident insurance license, you must obtain your state insurance license within 180 days of your employment. Your offer of employment is contingent upon you obtaining your state insurance license within this period. Please understand that this license requirement is mandatory for your position.
