Description
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking an AHLTA Trainer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Fairfield, CA.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's AHLTA Sustainment Support program in support of the Air Force Medical Services Agency. AHLTA is the military Electronic Health Record (EHR) system supporting the 9.1 million beneficiaries of the Military Health System (MHS) TRICARE Program. Deployed on a global scale, AHLTA supports Force Health Protection (FHP) for DoD service members, their family members and other beneficiaries in mi! litary medical facilities around the globe.
Roles ! and Responsibilities:
- Provide formal and informal implementation guidance, integration, and change management support tasks (on the job training, formal and informal classroom and over the shoulder training) in a dynamic and interpersonal setting to support functional users requiring assistance in implementing, using, and integrating AHLTA and its increments into the military medical clinical business process
- Conduct business process reengineering activities within individual clinics, to include initial assessment, to-be recommendations, and training development and delivery of new processes
- Work with trainers across the globe to share and determine best practices
- Communicate effectively across the training team and various stakeholders
- Collect, organize and evaluate clinical, functional and training metrics
- Provide leadership to other trainers as a subject matter expert in AHLTA and business process reengineerin! g
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- US citizenship mandatory (based upon MHS network access requirements)
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years experience as a health care provider or as a clinical systems trainer; or a minimum of 10 years experience to satisfy degree and experience requirements.
- Minimum 2 years experience training AHLTA
- Experience leading a team of individuals toward a common goal
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Experience training and/or using an electronic medical record (EMR)
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical business processes and operations through previous job experience !
- Prior military experience
- Experience in working with the A! HLTA system as a healthcare provider
- Expertise in using and/or training Clinical Information Management Systems
- Experience working in a government contracting environment
