CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs Staff DataBase Planning Engineers to be responsible for supporting database Planning Engineering in the architecture, development and deployment of Oracle database environments which equal or exceed SLA of 99.99% uptime. Responsible for assuring that Payment Card Industry security requirements are adhered to, and supported in the engineering and deployment of CyberSource’s database at all times. Engineer and implement the following technologies: Oracle RDBMS 11.1 and 11.2, Oracle Real Application Clusters, Oracle Data Guard (Physical, Logical, Active, Snapshot, Fast Start Failover, Observers and their Grid Control configuration and management), Enterprise Manager Grid Control and core packs including Performance, Tuning, Configuration Management, Change Management, Provisioning, PCI-DSS Security, and others. Responsible for Golden Gate Replication, and migration of non-Oracle databases to Oracle via Golden Gate, SQL Developer, and other appropriate technologies as determined at the time of migration. Interface with other business units as necessary to carry out engineering assignments, and to improve and implement ITIL compliant process procedures and automation. Responsible for pro-active and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of escalated Level 3 issues. Will also undertake regular database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis, predictive future database resource requirements, and structured organized reporting of same.
Qualifications
Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a computer-related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Oracle RDBMS technologies and implementing Oracle Database; 2) Enterprise Manager Grid Control and core packs including performance, tuning, configuration, change, provisioning, PCI DSS Security; 3) RAC experience in an engineering capacity; 4) Migration of non-Oracle databases to Oracle via Golden Gate, SQL Developer or other appropriate Technologies; 5) Advanced Security Options, Data Vault, Transparent Data Encryption, RMAN, Data Backup and Recovery; 6) Database Administration and specific troubleshooting of Oracle RAC Database Systems and understanding of critical health metrics to DB Environments; 7) Data Analysis; 8) hardware/software integration with subject matter expertise in the integration of Oracle RAC Systems; and 9) Oracle GoldenGate Replication. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
