The Event Coordinator will support the implementation of a mobile marketing program for a Pharmaceutical client in 20-25 markets nationwide. The program is will support the client’s partnership with non-profit fundraising walk and bike events in each market, promoting a new offering from the client. The position will require traveling with the tour throughout its duration and working well as part of a team. Responsibilities will include coordination with local event personnel, set up and tear down, event management, and consumer interaction on behalf of the client. This position is slated to begin ASAP and run through November 15, 2012. This is a 100% Travel position .
Responsibilities and Duties :
Coordinate with lead Account Executive for program planning and execution
Coordinate with lead Account Executive and local event staff for event logistics in each market
Work with lead Account Executive to determine on-site execution procedures including checklist of site plans, supplies, communications, premiums, etc.;
Assist in coordination of all aspects of on-site activities including set-up, registration, engaging the participants and staffing
Serve as a marketing ambassador and effectively communicate with consumer on behalf of client brand
Troubleshoot on-site challenges
Conduct advance site visits to ensure locations are prepared prior to the event
Provide written event summaries and market recaps
Coordinate other reasonably related assignments
Required Qualifications :
College degree
Desire to learn and work in an event marketing career
Previous experience and basic knowledge of event management is a plus
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Willingness to be outgoing and communicate with consumers in an event setting
Willingness to travel extensively (including weekends) for weeks at a time
Experienced leader and team builder, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems independently
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
Extremely organized, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and display time management skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
