We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Drilling Cost & Planning Analyst at our Elk Hills business unit. The Drilling Cost & Planning Analyst is responsible for providing data management, financial analysis and reconciliation, and cost control support in a safe, legal, environmentally responsible and effective manner to the Drilling Department. The position includes the following duties:

Gathers, compiles, organizes and performs analysis of well data utilized in planning, design, analysis, benchmarking and performance evaluation of capital drilling projects.

·

Develops, maintains and provides computer support for the team as well as various computer programs/databases utilized to gather, store and manipulate various sources of drilling well data and information.

·

Coordinates and assists with financial reports for drilling expenditures.

·

Validates accuracy and completeness of expenditures.

·

Provides support for budgets/annual plans and financial outlooks and accruals.

·

Reconciles rig utilization and demand to capital budgets and outlooks.

·

Provides support for the rig scheduling and material procurement process.

·

Assists with audit requests from Accounting

·

Compiles end of well reports in a timely manner upon completion of project

·

Assists with analysis, project evaluations , and drilling performance reviews

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
·

Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, etc.), Landmark OpenWells, and Oracle.

·

Data management skill and knowledge of database and Oracle applications.

·

Strong analytical skills. Ability to research and analyze drilling and financial data.

·

Experience with OpenWells data management system.

·

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·

Excellent time management skills.

·

Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

·

Must be self-motivated, versatile and willing to learn.

·

Must be a team player with the ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently.

Additional Desired Qualifications:
·

Minimum 5 years of experience in oilfield operations or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
