TRADE COMPLIANCE ANALYST
MISSION
Position ensures that the duty drawback procedure for goods imported from/to the UK is properly managed. Provides support to customs brokers, freight forwarders and internal customers in relation to cross-company UK/EU and 3rd party import and export flows. The position ensures that CHB is provided with all information to complete the customs declaration in a compliant manner. Serves as the primary point of contact for all material classification inquiries.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support EU Customs audits
- Coordination of UK exports from Diversey locations and third party suppliers, including coordinating customs processes with haulers and customs brokers;
- Reporting of customs broker and duty spends
- Maintenance of HTS code for new and existing SKUs
- Create export invoice for manual export orders and support transport arrangements
- Handling queries about Intrastat related subjects (HTS, CoO, UoM)
- Develop data analytics and improvement processes to optimise accuracy and efficiency
- Verification and approval of Customs duty and tax invoices
- Maintenance and redesign of TC Google docs, Smartsheets databases and Excel data bases
REQUIREMENTS
- Basic understanding of material classification of goods in the field of chemistry, cleaning appliances, machinery, dosing & dispensing tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process large amounts of information with high level for details and accuracy
- Good knowledge of EU/CH/GB customs legislation
- Self-organized and goal oriented
- Proven experience with SAP R3 (MM, SD)
- Good Microsoft office skills
- Eager to learn new tasks and grow on the job
- Solid experience in data integration, data engineering, or similar for connecting different databases and platforms like Google files, Excel files, Smartsheets, etc.
- Ability to priorities given tasks and keeping deadlines
- Business English (other languages are a plus)
- Ability to work under pressure

The position foresees the possibility to work remotely (after the first onboarding period) but has to be NL based for contract reasons
RAL: 40-45k based on the profile + 10% Bonus
Offices are based in Utrecht
Position is considered the general subject matter expert for UK <-> EU customs and transport related subjects and as such, will manage Customs procedures under the TCA, coordination of UK export/import processes, HMRC communications and activity reporting.
