Ecolab is seeking a Logistics Analyst to join its International Logistics workstream as the Lead User for SAP. This position is accountable to support the ongoing maintenance and expansion of harmonized processes and systems and their correct local utilization, as well as data enablement/usage to improve decision making. Additionally, this role is expected to drive reporting process improvements and automation to support strategic initiatives/projects in cost, service, and trade compliance. The position will also collaborate with Logistics leaders, supply chain areas/departments and other stakeholders to develop reporting and analytics that can identify saving opportunities and service improvements.
Scope/Responsibilities
1. Operational
a. Incident management: Monitor incidents, test of changes resulting from corrected functionality.
b. Change requests:
- i. First point of contact for users and BITL's to discuss and review functional change requests.
- ii. Responsible for local additions/changes to global training material.
- iii. Maintain local additions / changes to SOPs.
- iv. User Acceptance Testing, Local Training (processes, transactions, and reports) and communication of changes.
c. Key contact for end users
- i. Provide first level support within their area of expertise.
- ii. Share key system/process learning/ best practices with other lead users and end users.
2. Program/Projects
a. User Acceptance Testing execution – when implementation occurs in their respective business area.
b. Training & Communication:
- i. Provide training to end users,
- ii. Responsible for local additions/changes to global training material,
- iii. Maintain local additions / changes to SOPs.
c. Master Data: Understand applicable Master Data, support data cleansing and accuracy as necessary.
d. Security, Compliance and Controls:
- i. Assist project team and validate the end user security provisioning,
- ii. Participate in SOX and Controls Testing of manual controls if applicable,
- iii. Review and approve System Access
e. Regression testing execution
3. Organization
a. Connects on release with Release Execution Team.
4. Other
a. SAP and TMS implementation liaison.
b. To Be solutions assessment and recommendations (freight payments, track & trace, etc.).
c. Solution troubleshooting
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, customs, logistics, mathematics/statistics, or related field (may be completing final courses at university).
2. 2 years of experience in SAP environment for international logistics.
3. Previous experience in analytics or business intelligence.
4. Experience in Project Management.
5. Fluent in English.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to exercise independent judgement, critical thinking, and work well within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Understanding of supply chain workstream principles and best practices.
2. Proficient in relevant computer software and tools (MS Excel, Access, SQL).
3. Understanding or experience in:
a. CIF-Integration Models definition and configuration.
b. Transportation Network.
c. Freight Units building (Load Building).
d. Optimizer configuration, including selection profile, planning profile, incompatibilities.
e. Order tendering and carrier determination.
f. Transportation payment management configuration.
g. Carrier Collaboration Portal.
Position Details:
