Our client is an Australian owned traffic control and road safety management company that we are exclusively working with. The organisation is currently looking for a HR Advisor to join the business in there Perth office.

This position supports the HR generalist activities, specifically reviewing and advising on HR policies and processes across the business, ensuring the most effective utilisation of human resources for the purpose of achieving strategic business objectives. The role is primarily responsible for delivering operational HR advice to line managers across the business and providing the full range of general Human Resources services and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment, Selection, and Induction;
  • Develop Recruitment selection and induction procedures
  • Manage the on-boarding and off-boarding activities
  • Manage direct recruitment as required by managers
  • Monitor seek for advertised positions
  • Write seek ads to attract candidates
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies when required
  • Maintain personal files and database
  • Liaise with payroll to track staff start dates to meet job agencies requirements
  • Write employee contracts and update them as requested by managers
Performance Review management;
  • Support Managers with Performance reviews in their teams when required
Employee relations;
  • Partner with managers on providing advice on all employment relations matters and in facilitating redundancies and terminations
  • Assist managers to organise performance reviews
  • Ensure all documentation is legally compliant and best practice is maintained across the organisation
  • Maintain Employment agreements and position descriptions
Learning and Development;
  • Manage induction program every Friday
  • Deliver induction presentations to Job agencies and traffic controllers
Company Culture;
  • Service Recognition program (Employee of the month)
  • Client and employee Survey
  • Action plans together with managers and roll out company initiatives
Remuneration and benefits;
  • Maintain database of remuneration for all staff
  • Liaise with payroll
  • Benchmark company remuneration plans against salary survey
The Candidate - Qualifications / Skills:
  • Have a high level of computer proficiency in MS office
  • Sound HR generalist / advisor knowledge
  • HR qualifications
