About the Role:
Deos Staffing is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading logistics company, for an experienced Ocean Freight Forwarder in Hamburg. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in freight forwarding who is fluent in German and looking for a new challenge in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage ocean freight shipments from end to end
- Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations
- Continuously work to improve processes and increase efficiency
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and team members
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding
- Fluent in German (both written and spoken)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in air freight (advantageous but not essential)
- Knowledge of CargoWise software (desirable but not essential)
