The Vice President of Marketing has oversight of the marketing function, with the goal of driving qualified leads and leases and building the award winning Prometheus brand. The VP of Marketing is responsible for the creative and strategic aspects of the overall marketing plan for planning, directing and coordinating organization's products and services by performing various Marketing/Creative Resources Department related duties. The Vice President of Marketing oversees all responsibilities of the marketing management team and staff. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Portfolio Management. This position has a bonus target of 35%.

Essential Functions:
Marketing and Brand Strategy - Develops and implement a comprehensive marketing strategic plan rela! ted to advertising, SEO, SEM, website development, social medi! a platforms, content management, reputation management, graphics, signage, print/collateral, property communications, and the brand. Primary marketing focus is to support the leasing function for existing and new development properties. Develops and manages the marketing budgets in keeping with business objectives. Measures, tracks and analyzes marketing strategy effectiveness and makes timely adjustments based on changing market and competitive conditions, market reaction, and changing opportunities and trends. Oversees and recommends marketing expenditures, resource utilization and strategies to maximize return on cost. Creates and drives Brand strategy for company. Assures adherence and brand immersion throughout all levels of marketing for internal and external clients.

Leadership and Personnel Management - Leads, mentors and manages a team of 6 in house marketing professionals (Director of Marketing, Specialists in Reputation Management, Social Media, Graphics! , Online Marketing, web, signage, events, etc). Interviews, hires and trains employees; assigns and directs their work; prepares performance appraisal; disciplines and rewards; address complaints and resolves problems using sound judgment. Executes and collaborates with team, departments and builds alignment among multiple stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Project Management â€" Works with writers and graphic artists for special projects; Oversees design, layout, paste-up, and production of promotional materials; Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the quality of all properties, materials and/or services; Manages multiple projects and vendors simultaneously; Plans and execute the Master’s Conference logistics.

Vendor Management - Manages outside vendors/consultants (e.g., brand design, advertising agencies). Plans and oversee the organization's advertising and promotion activities including ! printed materials; Communicate with outside advertising agencies regard! ing ongoing ads; Supports the leasing function by evaluating market reactions to advertising programs to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions; Conducts marketing surveys and report and recommend on results; Communicate with outside advertising agencies regarding ongoing ads.

Required Qualifications - Skills - and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.
7-10+ years of marketing experience in the hospitality, retail, consumer product or apartment industries
Expertise in digital marketing, social media, lead generation and brand development Effective project and time management skills with a focus on excellence in execution.
Superior communication skills with excellent writing proficiency and the ability to influence across groups effectively.
Minimum of three years supervisory exper! ience
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, residents, and the general public.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic applications
Can develop justifications of requirements/business case and participate in budget process
Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Must be able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals in addition to the ability to write copy and create Public Relations pieces
Must be able to effectively supervise outside vendors in a manner that supports the firm’s goals, timeframes and expectations. This includes demonstrated acumen in negotiation of contracts and terms
