The Opportunity:
Demandforce is looking for an outstanding Senior Customer Data Analyst focused on retention analytics and strategy. You will need to analyze data to understand key customer characteristics and behavior for the purpose of improving customer retention. ! The position will work from the San Francisco office, in an en! ergy-filled startup environment, with a motivated team that is getting results and having fun. This is a highly visible role that will have significant responsibilities and interactions with senior management and considerable opportunity to have a large impact to the top line within a fast growing company. You must be very comfortable with sizeable amounts of data as well as Excel, Access, and SQL (a plus) with strong ability to derive relevant indicators and provide actionable recommendations. You are also a very effective communicator who can articulate complex ideas and findings and influence your peers.
This position is ideal for someone who has demonstrated high level of performance early in his/her career, particularly in business, strategic and data analysis, and may be looking to take on an impactful operating role at a high growth technology company. This position will report to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Responsibilities: Drive exceptional analysis on cross-functional and complex sets of data and marry analytics insights with business knowledge to drive action across the company
Act as the central point of analytical intelligence on business trends, pricing, sales behavior, case data, competitive environment and their impacts on churn
Work with customer services, retention marketing and save teams to optimize save strategies
Interpret data and existing metrics from Salesforce and optimize churn and customer health calculation
Work with sales, customer care, marketing and product teams to identify, test and iterate on improvements that can have a meaningful impact on retention
Articulate clear business justification, prioritization, and dependencies around retention initiatives.
Come up with and provide justifications to creative and bold initiatives that may challenge the existing paradigm but ultimately improve retention
Prov! ide thought leadership and raise the bar on how to evaluate the busines! s from a churn management and customer retention point of view
Qualifications
4-7 years of work experience from a leading investment bank, consulting firm, fortune 500 technology company or high growth firm
Prior experience in a similar role at a well-known SaaS company preferred
Must have advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and analytical tools (SQL a plus)
Exposure to, and/or high degree of comfort with, Salesforce platform reporting
Has participated or led data analysis in highly complex business problems
Ability to conduct sophisticated and thorough analysis, and translate those results to easily digestible messages, presentations and actions
Self-motivated with a highly collaborative style and strong influence skills
Entrepreneurial mindset, with the determination to dramatically impact the business
Must be passionate, creative and tenacious
Must be a fast learner with ! strong business acumen
