Assists and directs the Account Executives in the sale and distribution of certain market basket segments (i.e. Aftermarket and Retail) and all SBU products and services to achieve! and sustain profitable growth (i.e., writing new business, retaining existing accounts, providing quality service, increasing market share and product mix while operating within SBU guidelines). Manages and coordinates the sales and service activities of regional staff (i.e., AEs and CSRs), to increase new business and retention in all product offerings.
Job Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Or Equivalent
5 Or More Years Of Related Experience
1. Extensive knowledge of underwriting principles/techniques and SBU Underwriting guidelines.
2. Extensive knowledge of coverage and pricing of all business offerings.
3. Thorough understanding of the company, our market, and competitors.
4. Thorough understanding of the principles of sales, sales techniques, and sales terminology.
5. Thorough understanding of principles, techniques and terminology of claims and the SBU Claims process.
6. Understands and works within regulatory environment. !
7. Knowledge of personal computers, company-approved softw! are, and business system applications.
8. Understands how to navigate the Internet and intranet and assess the value of available information.
9. Interprets/analyzes financial statements and company reports.
10. Broad knowledge of certain segment customers' business and operations.
11. Understands financial results of SBU and how the Regional Sales Manager job affects the bottom line.
12. Demonstrated management skills including planning, budgeting, coaching, interviewing/selection, & performance management.
13. Knowledge of company's vision, organizational structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values & code of ethics.
14. Understands and applies techniques to manage multiple priorities.
15. Possesses a high level of motivation to achieve necessary involvement within a team.
16. Understands the importance of and demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional growth
17. Licensed to sell insurance products.
Job Accountabilities;
1. Assists and directs Account Executives in the sale and distribution of certain market basket segments (i.e. Aftermarket and Retail) and all SBU products and services to achieve and sustain profitable growth (i.e., writing new business, retaining existing accounts, providing quality service, increasing market share and product mix while operating within SBU guidelines).
2. Selects, trains, develops, and coaches team members, assesses their performance, and provides recommendations on other human resource issues (e.g., promotions, transfers, salary administration and terminations).
3. Manages and coordinates the sales and service activities of regional staff (i.e., AEs and CSRs) to increase new business and retention in all product offerings.
4. Manages regional sales operation for cost efficiency; continuously evaluates opportunities to reduce costs and improve operations; monitors and maintains expenses within approved budget.
