This position has promotion potential to the GS-09 grade level. KEY REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES:
The selectee will serve as a technician and instructor providing care and education to service members who are assigned to the Wounded Warrior Battalion West detachment, Army Warrior Transition Unit and Navy Medical Holding Company and undergoing outpatient treatment and rehabilitation. Major duties and responsibilities:
- Provide education to service members regarding all aspects related to their medication regiment; provide administrative oversight to 8 week Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); assist providers with invasive or non-invasive exams or procedures; and administer oral, intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications.
- Coordinate classes and arrange attendance at classes conducted by other entities; and conduct annual Basic Life Support training/certification for patients and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

GS-06:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Performing non-invasive and invasive examinations and procedures; and providing patient education regarding health promotion.
OR
Completed a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, with major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position, OR a combination of specialized experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
GS-07:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Performing non-invasive and invasive examinations and procedures; and providing patient education regarding health promotion and self care.
GS-08:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Performing non-invasive and invasive examinations and procedures; and providing patient education regarding health promotion and medication regimen.
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Performing non-invasive and invasive examinations and procedures; and providing patient education regarding health promotion and medication regimen. Developing, implementing and maintaining educational programs.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position.

REQUIREMENTS:
Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.
A secret security clearance is a requirement of this position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal. If you possess a security clearance, please indicate the level and termination date in your resume.

Work requires extensive walking, standing, stretching, lifting, transporting and bending in caring for patients; the ability to influence confused patients regarding their care, and physically control or defend against emotionally ill or confused patients. Work is performed in a health care setting where there is exposure to contagious disease, radiation, infection. Gloves, gowns and masks are frequently necessary.
Must obtain and maintain a current Basic Life Support certification.
