POSITION SCOPE
This role is responsible for Global Advertising Measurement and reports to the SBL, Head of Global Marketing Performance Measurement & Analytics. It requires a senior thought-leader with experience measuring global marketing programs and a change agent who will transform the current measurement tools to incorporate the new paradigms of digital, social and mobile media.
This is a management role responsible for working on a broad range of advertising measurement projects, supporting the goals of Global Marketing, North America Marketing and Regional Marketing. The position currently has one direct report with the potential for more. In addition, this role will coordinate with advertising agencies, media agencies and vendor partners to ensure that all marketing is accurately measured.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities for this position include management of qualitative and quantitative market research & measurement programs for Visa’s Global Marketing. They currently include a large, global tracking study, a syndicated US study and many adhoc measurement projects for cross-media, digital, social and mobile programs. Specific responsibilities include:
Lead development of advertising measurement programs, including major marketing investments such as multi-year, multi-million dollar global sponsorships and present insights to executive management
Particular areas of focus will be the creation of global standards for advertising measurement throughout Visa Inc., management of the global tracking vendor, aggregation and reporting of global advertising results, and management of specific North American advertising measurement programs
Continuously expand and enhance advertising measurement tools, capabilities and processes, particularly in the areas of digital, social, mobile and cross-media measurement
Lead an ongoing matrix team of stakeholders from Global, NA and Regional Marketing, GIRA Regional Staff, Advertising and Media agencies to establish and implement measurement and analysis plans for all major marketing investments
Ongoing management of a considerable budget and an external vendor with significant staff dedicated to Visa in multiple regions of the world
Presenting insights to senior executives, regional marketing teams, advertising & media agencies and other key internal stakeholders
Qualifications
15+ years of client, ad agency or vendor side experience managing global advertising measurement programs with a particular emphasis on digital, social, mobile and cross-media measurement
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, economics, psychology, or similar field required; MBA/MS in related field preferred
Management of direct reports, cross-functional teams and external partners
Global, multi-country research experience is required; work experience abroad is a plus
Excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills
Must be conversant with a broad range of research analytical techniques and methodologies (e.g., structural equation modeling, regression analysis, factor analysis, MaxDiff, and conjoint) and understand their application
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills to all levels including senior management
Ability to develop and communicate actionable insights from research findings is essential
Must be able to handle a wide variety of projects simultaneously
