Job Title: **Global Technical Sales Manager - Membranes Technologies
Location: **One of our offices in Europe or home-based (depending on your place of residence)

Intro
We are currently searching for a Global Technical Sales Manager who is an expert in the membrane technology. Your subject matter expertise will be key to understand our customers’ needs and to propose solutions that will meet their expectations. This role is an opportunity to contribute to the growth of the business and to be a part of an international team. You will report to our Solutions Management Leader based in France.
Main responsibilities

  • Define most relevant technical SPX FLOW solutions (technologies, design concepts, process flow diagrams) based on key client specifications and business needs.
  • Closely collaborate with Sales, Innovation Centers, Proposal, Engineering teams to create our upstream alternative solutions and to establish customers’ confidence in our final technical answer; elaborate on and present membranes solutions and mass balances.
  • Own the proposed design solution & support the creation of the offer text for the features and benefits; interface closely with Proposal, Engineering to create compelling and complete offers.
  • Promote technical value of SPX FLOW solution to customers by articulating end-user benefits with a view on building confidence.
  • Follow the global performance of orders within your scope of specialty versus set targets and support commercial countermeasures plans if needed.
  • Provide market feedback, price feedback, upgrades, and innovation opportunities to Product Management & Market Management.
  • Encourage innovation center tests with customers, participate in co-development R&D work with key customers leading to new solutions development.
  • Educate and develop skills of the commercial team members and regional sales channels. Facilitate trainings and knowledge sharing sessions internally.

Additional responsibilities

  • Support Key Account strategy with technology and technical expertise regarding new development, and new applications.
  • Support aftermarket initiatives.
  • Support sales of special programs.
  • Provide assistance to engineering when required.

What do you need

  • Degree in engineering or food science.
  • 10+ years of experience with the membrane technology.
  • Technical expert level in the membrane technology.
  • Good knowledge of the membrane technology market
  • Commercial mindset and ability to translate complex technologies to customers.
  • Good presentation, listening and influencing skills.
  • Fluent English in speaking and writing.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (especially Excel).
  • Willingness to travel globally 30%.

Nice to have

  • Experience with a CRM system.
  • Marketing background (experience in creating business plans, understanding of marketing tools).
  • Knowledge of an additional language.
