The Role
Mount Isa Mines is currently advertising an opportunity that exists for an Operator role. Reporting to the Zinc Filter Plant Supervisor.
You will be responsible towards contributing to safe production in the operation by using a comprehensive range of skills.
This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and the work roster is 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off (12h shifts).

You will be responsible towards contributing to safe production in the operation by using a comprehensive range of skills.
This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and the work roster is 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off (12h shifts).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Operating areas such as filters, thickener, pumps and conveyors, assisting in all aspects associated in the handling of third-party Lead Concentrates- Working closely with Maintenance and Metallurgy teams to ensure targets are met and that the operation runs efficiently.
- Assist in driving continuous improvement around the Zinc Filter plant.
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
- Self-motivated with a high standard of work.
- A pro-active approach to safety and continuous improvement.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team.
- Filtration experience is ideal.
- Holding a high-risk forklift licence will be highly regarded.
